Embracing Spiritual Midlife with Grace
Spiritual midlife can feel deeply uncomfortable for many of us. For those who have relied on our strength and ego to navigate life and to achieve spiritual growth, it can be a shock to realise that, at this stage, there's nothing more we can do by our own willpower.
In this season of life, we are called to let go and let God take over. We must allow God to work within us. "Let it be done unto me."
This process often feels like an undoing. We find ourselves emptied, stripped of our illusions, raw and naked before God. But in this vulnerability, we also see ourselves more truly and experience the unconditional love of God.
It's a time of profound transformation, where we face the parts of ourselves we've avoided and learn to embrace them with God's infinite love.
